The Brief
Drivers use the app one-handed, in daylight and in a hurry. The redesign had to put the next action in reach and keep earnings visible without extra taps.
Success meant fewer mistaken taps, faster acceptance of a ride and an app that stays readable in strong sunlight and at night.
Our Approach
We shadowed drivers on shift, enlarged every touch target, moved the accept and navigate actions to the bottom of the screen and added a calm high-contrast night mode.
Prototypes were tested in a parked car and on the road, because a desk review cannot show how a screen feels at a junction.
The new layout keeps the three actions drivers use all day within reach of the thumb, with earnings always visible at the top.
